Worship team
Music plays a key part in the life of our church. Singing and playing help us to deeply express our joys and sorrows and thanks and wonder to God, who created us and who loves us without limit or end.
Doing these things together helps us to remember these truths, to reflect on God, sometimes challenging us, other times encouraging us.
The worship team [another name for the musicians and singers] leads this part of our life together. The old church organ went many years ago, along with the pews. We now have a line up of keyboard, guitars & drums along with flutes, saxophones and other instruments.
We use a wide range of music, ranging from the old hymns, through well known modern songs, to songs written by members of the team.
Leaders: Ruth Orr, Richard Harris & Annie Stainsby
When: Wednesday evenings, 7.30pm for practice and bible study
Welcome
We are always looking to find and encourage new musical talent in the church. If you are learning to play an instrument or sing, come along to the practise session and join in.
Goodbye
All our love goes with James Orr as he heads off to Crossroads International Church, in Geneva [Switzerland] for a year. Don't sing under the snow overhangs!
